explorer.exe < is the shell of your Windows OS < DON'T TOUCH IT
iexplorer.exe < is Internet Explorer, your browser program.. DONT TOUCH IT
DO NOT delete programs off your system if you don't want to take the time to look them up to find out what they are for....

Explorer.exe has to stay on,however iexplorer.exe is your web page: only end process if your browser freezes and you can't x out of it or close it.

if you stop explre. exe, you will lose your shell and will have to restart.
