I just love the 23 Psalm. But if I have to pick one verse, it's Jeremiah 29: 11 : " For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. " NIV.
Isn't that just beautiful ?

Jeremiah 48:10
"A curse on him who is lax in doing the LORD's work! A curse on him who keeps his sword from bloodshed!
This is my favorite. I use it to show hard-core fundamentalist Muslims that the Bible and Koran have lots in common. Psalm 149:5-7 is also pretty good at doing this. In fact most of the "sword" verses are pretty cool. Remind me of the Lord of the Rings, especially The Two Towers and Return of the King.
Another great verse is this one. It reminds me of the Grizzly skill in DII LoD. But that spell only gives you one bear, the one the prophet used here gave him two! Goes to show how powerful God is.
2 Kings 2:24
He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.

"Let the women learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." (I Timothy 2:11-14)

No doubt....until the day I die my favorite verse will be this...
"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God"...John 3:3
That is the verse the Bible hinges on.

For God who said, "Let there be light in the darkness," has made us understand that this light is the brightness of the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. But this precious treasure -- this light and power that now shine within us -- is held in perishable containers, that is, in our weak bodies. So everyone can see that our glorious power is from God and is not our own. (2 Corinthians 4:4-5, NLT)
