It depends on how much the hair cut costs in the first place and then whether or not they do a good job.

5 dollars if it cost 20 or lower. 10 dolars 40 or lower. If the haircut is for a women sometimes they can cost up to 100 dollars then the tip should be between 10 to 20 depending on the cost and whether you want to get an appointment next time, then you tip higher. Mens haircuts rarely cost more than 20 so 5 dollars is more than generous.
