I haven't been in the dating circle for a while, my husband is 10 years older than I am, he told me he was only 3 years older when we were dating.
What are some reasons men prefer much younger women?

They do it because it makes them feel younger and more like a stud. I don't mind if a woman is older or younger than me, just as long as she is nice,sweet, and honest. Heck I dated a 43 year old Korean woman a little while back. She was kinda sweet and a little crazy and unsure about what she wanted so we broke up, but we are still fiends. So I really don't care if a woman is younger or older than me. All I care about is do we get along and am I some what attracted to her? That's it. Some men are a bit more vain however and feel that it makes them look good to be with a younger woman. I think guys that just and only date younger women, are usually self absorbed @ss holes, in my opinion.

Well men prefer younger women because of evolution and natural selection. Men are hardwired to want to spread their seed. What kind of women are the fertile ones that would allow a male to spread their seed? The younger ones. They're the most viable, they're able to bear children. The older ones can't procreate and thus, men are wired to want younger women. The men who preferred younger women (evolutionarily speaking) are the ones who procreated. Thusly, nature "selected against" men who preferred older women. But I am 27 and my boyfriend just turned 21. I am a hot cougar and I wouldn't change it for anything. I like the younger guys. My boyfriend likes the mature women. It works out. Mmmmmm....

Depends on what he's looking for. If he's looking to make babies then a younger woman is preferable. Some men are looking to recapture their youth. Some men are emotionally on the level of a younger woman. Some men project fantasies on a younger woman.
Sometimes it just works. You're both at a similar point in your life when you're looking for the same things and you just happen to be a different age.
If he really wanted to relate on a peer level with life experiences and stuff then he would probably prefer a woman his age.

Because they are gullible enough to fall for their lies about how old they really are. And you Married this guy!?
I am 41 and really I see less and less woman acting their age. I have not dated for a few years and I am single. Really I look at all ages..., but at one time I went for the younger women because I felt they were not looking for commitment. If you think all men are like this then you MIGHT be right, but that whole age thing really means nothing. I think ultimately we just want a woman who looks good. I've found the a womans self confidence makes them more attractive. Maybe that's why I stopped giving a crap about 'hot bodies' and fake ****. You might not believe this , but I'm not attracted to Pamala Anderson at all. I think Angelina J, is ugly, and those cheap looking women on those tv commercials for chat lines do NOTHING to stimulate me. Have I matured? Sure I have. So where are all of the women who I think are attractive? Married probably.
Anyway, does your husband convey you aren't hot or something? You'd be surprised how many men probably think you are, but since TV does not promote middle age looks as being hot women have to TRY to look young. As you get older you'll realize how short this life is anyway.

It's about biology and power. Young men don't have power, w. a few exceptions, they have to work long and hard to get it. Young women have the power of youth, beauty and fertility but that declines exponentially w. each passing year until they become virtually invisible, powerful men usually get rid of them before that. Women start w. the best cards, men, if they live long enough, can finish w. them but they are often too old and tired by then to appreciate it.

Because it makes them feel younger. But not all men prefer younger, some prefer older.
It depends on the people involved and what their motives are for it I suppose.

I can't and won't speak for anyone else, but younger women were *always* what I liked even when they were older than me. I am wired that way and believe me I have caught hell for it.

Younger women are allways given !st preference coz men never grow old(sexualy) so to enjoy for a long time infact life time men prefer younger women...........

They want to relive their youth. Younger women are naive and can easily be taken advantage...the list goes on. Surely, if he's being this way, I would certainly have a talk with him and tell him to smarten up.

My significant other is 23yrs younger than i am, for me i love her spirit to fight for what she believes is right, her willingness to learn, her gentle spirit. Most woman my age have a 'motivation' problem & too set in their ways, this allows for very little growth.'only the dead stand still', i therefore do not want this. Sexually? well... always room for improvement in any area isn't there?
