As any level headed person knows, climate change actually figures pretty low on the agenda when it comes to prioritizing the world's problems, but you wouldn't have thought that from the hysteria and crud flying around.

I thought I'd seen the worst example of this when I discovered a website peddling for a "Climate Genocide Criminal Prosecutions Bill".

Apparently not. Today I found this ridiculous climate change 'survival guide', complete with instructions on how to replicate Noah's Ark.

Has anyone else found climate garbage around that rivals this stuff on the scale of grand human stupidity?

I am thinking there is lots of room for more hysteria. It is pretty bad right now as you point out and that is with only the smallest tip of the Global-Warming-Consequences iceberg being glimpsed, no pun intended. You see 50-100 years from now when GW is in rip roaring full swing I am guessing hysteria will really start to kick in. With sea levels up a few feet flooding hundreds of millions, and with most of the worlds current agricultural lands converted to desert, and with vast numbers of people without drinking water, and with hurricanes hitting a major US Atlantic city every couple of years, I am thinking hysteria might become the norm.

I agree with you completely: Ignoring climate change most certainly qualifies as the all-time top of the grand human stupidity scale.

Sure. It's called "The Great Global Warming Swindle.

See this for why:

And, is a worldwide economic Depression because of the cost of dealing with unreduced global warming (coastal flooding, damage to agriculture, etc.) "low on the agenda"?

Yes, the stuff you found is over the top. But serious people know what's at stake here:

The page takes a little while to load.

Nice link Bob. "The Business Roundtable, which represents 160 chief executives of leading U.S. companies" and "is an association of CEOs of major corporations, representing a combined work force of more than 10 million employees and $4.5 trillion in annual revenues", says that "its members agree that reducing the amount of carbon dioxide going into the atmosphere should be a top priority". "Its members include major energy companies including Exxon Mobil Corp. (nyse: XOM - news - people ), Peabody Energy (nyse: BTU - news - people ) Co., the country's largest coal producer".
Nice to see some changes being made.

Do you honesttly think it's to be taken seriously when someone encourages you to establish your own menagerie of animals in your back garden consisting of pandas, tigers, polar bears and penguins?

Or that a fringe website calling for the death penalty and sequestration of the family assets of people who don't tow the line is serious?

A reality check is needed.

Stupid Al Gore is making a big deal of it.
By Gore being a so-called spokesperson for global warming, it's adding fuel to the fire of the Gore followers.
Let nature take it's course. Not even the all powerful Gore can change nature. The earth has been changing for 6,000 yrs, It's people like Gore who get people worked up about it.
Let nature take it's course, nothing we can do about it.

What? Global warming is about .01 deg C per year. We don't know for sure if it is due to our CO2 production yet. Much of the data used to come up with this theory is still in question. It is only a theory at this point. Some scientists have data that shows no increase, or even cooling. Lets get real.

You bet it can. Never underestimate how hysterical people can get. They can even get so hysterical that they will hijack an airliner full of people and crash it into a tall building full of other people, killing themselves and all those people.

Any level headed person would not use fringe non-information to fight Global Warming science.

If you want to talk grand stupidity please address religion.
