What no cheese??? Why are you doing this unless you want to trap them to get them spayed and neutered. A bit more information would be nice. All the best;~)

Do you want to catch them and make them your pet, or just feed them, or what? I don't know why you want to attract stray cats because that's our problem. The stray cats in my neighborhood are very mean and feril. We have to catch them in traps and let them go in the woods because my cat died from feline lukemia by getting bit by one. We got a live trap and put tuna, sardines, canned cat food, or just regular cat food works great. The next morning you have a cat! Be careful though, they can have rabies, or feline lukemia! Good luck! :)
Ok, you are going to get them fixed, then I would use a trap that is much easier (and safer!) If you can I would get them their shots too. So your cats aren't in danger of getting any diseases. Just from experience. :)

I don't have an answer because I have the opposite problem here. Usually, just owning one cat with invite all the rest to come over.

Cheap cat food (3 for $1) I use it in traps to catch them.

Why do you want to attract stray cats? That sounds weird. I would try tuna or cat nip.

Yes, if you don't have the right kind of cage, it won't do you any good....
I think most cats prefer fish and chicken over eggs and pork.

stray cats could have many psychological problems from being abandoned, not to mention if they were beat or neglected

i usually just try and calm them down and just like stay by them for a while...not too close. try not to touch them if they arent coming towards you. let them know that you mean them no harm.
do this for a couple of days and they may start to learn.
hope this helped!
