from out of the heart, the mouth speaks
what is amazing is from the preachers of the commandments I am reading hate, but from the "heathens" I am hearing the same: Love, Respect, Honor, No Harm
I'm humored that because I didn't mention the "nots" some jerks assumed I promote hate, harm, violence etc, without contemplating that if we are busy loving we will of course not be hating, etc

"Nomadic"? Do you even know what that word means? If you wrote the Ten Commandments on a piece of paper outdoors on a very windy day, I suppose they could be considered nomadic.
The Ten Commandments "outdated"? You think prohibitions on lying, stealing, murdering, etc., are all part of yesterday's world?
What is the matter with you?

Helloooo, are we on the same page here? out dated, nomadic, what the heck are you talking about? If you want the big 10 re-written I'd have to say (1) Do not hog the left lane. (2) keep your grubby fingers outta the pie. (3) hang up the damn phone and drive. (4) don't wear big hats to the movies or football games. (ya block my view) (5) Don't swirl and spit the wine to impress people. (6) Do not wear a gallon of cheap perfume. (7) If it take longer than 25 words to order your coffee, go home and brew it yourself. (8) Read ALL the stuff on the ballot measures BEFORE you vote. (9) If you didn't vote; shut up. (10) respect others as you would be respected.

JESUS HAS ALREADY DONE THIS.
With the New Covenant, he has replaced the 600 laws...including the ten,,, with only two.
Not changed them, but replaced them...
(Matthew 22:37-40) He said to him: “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’ 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 The second, like it, is this, ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets.”
