Princess Cruises out of the Port in Ft Lauderdale, FL which is about 15 to 30 minutes from the airport. The port is actually almost directly across the interstate, I-95, from the airport. If there is no traffic you can get there in 15 minutes.

My suggestion, and what i have recommended to others, is just stay at one of the many airport hotels. They will offer a free shuttle to/from the airport before/after your stay and when its time to go to/from the port you have a short taxi ride.

Use www,travelocity.com, www.expedia.com, or the web sites for hotels like www.hilton.com, or www.holidayinn.com to locate a hotel at the airport. All of these major cains and ones like Best Western, Hampton Inn, Marriott, Quality Inn all have hotels nearby.

You could arrange transfers with Princess but a taxi would probably be cheaper. Its a very short distance to drive and the only thing that makes it longer time wise is traffic in and out of the port and they do have port security that is tight.

It depends on which port you are talking about and when. There are hotels close to most ports in the US or Canada where you would embark ship.

You can also purchase transfers from the cruise line (any of them) as long as you get to the local airiport from the hotel where they pick up passengers.

Most hotels near ports offer free or low cost transportation to the port or you can take a taxi.

Can't help you more than this w/o more information.

the sleep inn and comfort inn will have a shuttle to and from the airport and to and from the cruise port for free. i would either stay near the airport or near the port (there is a riverwalk like 5 min from the port) the average cost of the hotels 2/3 star are about 120-140$. if u go on hotwire.com it wont show u the hotel but it will show the location and i actually got the comfort inn for 75$

There is an Embassy Suites that will take you to the port free of charge that is near the port. Call 1-800-Embassy and ask them for the one closest to the port and ask if it also has free shuttle to the port as it has in the past.
