Why do people pray to god and ask for help with everyday life stuff? Alot of people, when good stuff happens to them, they claim it's a miracle from god, especially athletes and celebrities, but also normal people who think that when wonderful things happen to them, it's because of god. If god doesn't help starving Africans, why would he help you? if he's going to be helping anyone, surely it would be the people who need it most?

Because there is no other solution.
Why not?
Yes if good stuff happens to us, we thank God.
Because the Government in Africa doesn't care
about their people... it is because of war and stuff...
But God gave us animals, water, and plants for food purpose and gave all of us TREES to build our houses.... but
the Africa Government prevent some Africans to have access
to them....
So why not tell Bush to nuke Africa and tell the DICTATORS
to step down and let all AFRICANS get access to all
the things God provide them....
He does help us, all of us.
If they pray to God for something, God will provide...
If starving Africans want God to help destroy the Dictators...
then he will.

The people in this world are accountable for themselves. There is poverty and wars etc, because mankind has created this. People look upon God as if he/she/it was a human being up in heaven. Nobody knows the truth about God, what God wants, What God is trying to say. All we know is that something created the universe and life itself.

If something good or bad happens to someone, It's because of the choices they made that lead them to it.

If you are wealthy maybe you could help the poor in the world.
Many christian missionaries live their lives with the poor (and help them).

god is a figure of our imagination..
to me i say there's no heaven or hell..
people say god helped us and stuff cause they needed soemthin to believe in
&& they say it's a sin to belive in other gods..
that's wrong..
people think "omg god saved me life omg"
but really.. it's humanity who saves humanity...
that's what i say
the reason people say GOD HELPED MEE!! yay! and all that crap is cause they dont want to give credit to normal people.. they want to give credit to someone they think is almighty! yay!
that's why christians go to church every sunday
they're forced to go... cause its like god said "i help your lives so you should bw down to me every sunday"
though im not sure it's like that
im buddhist so it's like a normal person turned into god almighty and he tries to help humanity, we dont have to go to temple every sunday and pray to him. we do that cause we want to thank him.. hmm.. though i dont go anymore.. what was i saying anyway o.o.. haha oh yea
so basically people need almighty gods to believe in... that's why there's racism... and sins

it's a deep question.

in my opinion, it's b/c they don't believe in themselves and gave all their trusts to God and depending on him.

but i don wanna discuss it further b/c it's other people's faith and a matter of religion.

everyone has their own beliefs.
