No, you don't scare him,but he is probably afraid that you are going to turn him down. Men hate rejection as well as women. Keep it professional because your going to kick yourself if it doesn't work out the way you want it to (romantically). One of my coworkers dated a coworker and found herself transferring out within a few months.

Mmmm - well he cant be too shy, or else he would not have approached you !
Maybe he feels you act a little over-bearing, or perhaps you are really good at the job and he is struggling.
Then again, you say ' you are a really nice person'
as we all know, "self reccomendation is no praise" - why not ask an impartial person if you do tend to come on a little strong at times !

You must be a smart and intelligent person as that is the only reason why a man would be intimidated....he likes you and doesn;t know how to approach you .....this is a good thing! talk to him on a personal level....with out work coming up in the conversation..

Being told this means he had to work up the courage to tell you he likes you or admires you. He's intimidated by you because you show confidence. Nice people are usually confident.

He said he is shy, so I'm sure he is intimidated. You don't intimidate him; he just thinks it's you because he doesn't have the nerve to approach you.

Could it just be that you're extremely friendly and it's off putting? It's possible that he is so shy he doesn't have the capacity to be as friendly as you and it's hard for him to attempt to communicate. Approach him and try letting him do all the talking.. You never know!

It means he likes you and that was his roundabout way of telling you. Now he is waiting for you to make the next move. So if you like him, ask him out to lunch or for a drink after work. And if you aren't interested, just don't give him any signals or flirt with him. He'll eventually move on.

Maybe your very independant to yourself and those types of women are usually on the go, dressed more than just casual, very confident in themselves, just going about their business like nothing bothers them. I felt the same with my current g/f. It takes alot for a guy to just come out being themselves in that situation.

Because most guys are shy and lack that first umpf of confidence. If he finds you absolutely drop dead beautiful, because of that he will not start talking. If it is because you are his boss or have more rank he is afraid of saying something that would jeopardize his job.

you may be very attractive or something else about you that a man finds attractive. IN short, I guess he is worried because he wants to get to know you but he is afraid you are too good for him and will hurt him emotionally if he chases after you and you reject him
