I figure since the LDS church doesn't recognize the fundamentalists as part of their religion, the answer would be no. But if the FLDS hold much of the same beliefs, wouldn't they need to go to the temple?

No need to give me a list of why you think Mormons are in a cult or full of false teachings, I don't care, I'm not Mormon, and I've heard it all already.

Yes if they have a belief in the Book of Mormon. They would have to be sealed in a temple.Yes they would have to go to the temple. Thus they cannot full fill there Temple requirement.

But No they are considered a break away from the church and not entitled to the blessing of the LDS temple .(Mormon)

As far as I know there is no FLDS temple as yet in Utah.RLDS which my mother was had no temple either and they do not use the teaching of the book of Mormon in there religion.

The FLDS is a different church all together. They can't go into LDS temples. The FLDS members are either excommunicated LDS or never have been members of the LDS Church.

Only those who are worthy Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints can enter the temple, as well one must sustain the prophet of the church and his apostles, the FLDS have their own prophet and so forth. They believe in the teachings but they do not support our prophet, so they won't be able to enter. There are also other requirements such as having no other affiliations with other churches, so you couldn't say that you are a member of both the LDS and the FLDS ( I think its RLDS, unless they changed it again) and expect to get in the LDS temple.

FLDS, RLDS, and so forth are not part of the LDS church and so cannot enter an LDS temple.

LDS church-goers have to conform to certain standards if they want to enter the temples and partake of the temple blessing.

We do invite all to become members and meet/exceed the temple standards so that all can receive temple blessings.

well, in order to go to the temple, a mormon has to hold a temple recommend. they must pay their tithes, uphold the law of chastity, yada yada yada. this is determined through meeting with the bishopric. therefore, the FLDS cannot go to the temple because they don't hold LDS temple recommends as they are not members of the LDS church. the RLDS have their own temples, similar to LDS temples, i believe.

You have to be a member of the LDS church to attend their temple. FLDS members are NOT members of the LDS church.... Jim

I believe the FLDS have their own temples and places of worship and do not mix with the LDS church. Especially since they believe the mainstream LDS have abandoned their traditional beliefs.

They cant. But i think in the past some of them have snuck in in the night with the help of actual members of the church becasuse they did feel they needed to go to the temple.

That one needs to go to te temple, and one GETS to go is two different things.

No one goes to the temple who is guilty of sexual sins and polygamy is a sexual sin, since God excused us from it's practice.
