I just started a new web forum geared towards camera discussions and I don't know much about other makes and models other than Nikon Coolpix and the Canon Rebels.
Can you list other popular MANUFACTURERS other than Canon and Nikon for digital camaers? And can you go to http://www.camera-chat.com and give me more popular makes/models to list or to put together?
Again, I don't know much about the other series of cameras out there so I don't know what boards and categories to make.

UPDATE: I think I want to be geared towards just digital cameras at this point and not just DSLR cameras. Pretty much the larger ones that people are comparing before they make a purchase.. and those cameras that are < $200 should also be considered so people with a budget can compare as well

This is a nice idea, but are you re-inventing the wheel? Make sure that there is SOMETHING to distinguish your site from the dozens of well-established sites that seem to offer the same information.
As long as you named the D40 and D80, you might want to add the D200, as it is also a current model.
If you want to know which brands have the greatest interest, go here http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/stats.asp and look at the second chart - the one that shows interest by brand name.

There are a lot of makes is your site specifically for digital slr's or also for digital and slr's alone?
