I'm just curious how many Christians think this event is more likely than not.

Yes, I'm aware that non-Christians are not expecting Jesus to ever return.

no one knows when Christ will return, yet we should always be ready and alert for his return, not by setting a specific date (which can be a distraction), but by living our lives according to his commands. Just live your life now the best you can and teach others to do the same. The end of the world is when each of us die. God bless.

My good friend just watch what is going on in the world and look carefully in the scriptures (prophcies). Do some research in Ezekiel, Daniel, Isaiah, Zechariah Matthew chapter 24 and of course the book of Revelation.

His coming is closer than ever. Those who wait for it will go with him unbeknownst to other who scoff at him and those who follow him.

The world events are taking for such a turn in especially in the middleast, europe etc. Look carefully, He can come anytime, but i cannot say 2 yrs, that is His prerogative.

I was a Christian and really didn't have an idea of when but I always hoped that I could live my life before he came.

The Mayans calendar (that is the one we use now of 365 days) said that the world was going to end in 2012. And seeing how things are going in the environment I'm starting to believe it.

It could be soon, but the gospel will have to be preached unto all the world before Jesus returns. I say in the next 20 years, but it could be in the next 2 years.

Jesus (PBUH) will indeed return, this is factual.....
There are 42 signs to this event........
I am a Sufi (Mystical Islam).
There is one sign remaining and it will be a while yet.

Two years is not sufficient time for this to take place, and I am fully aware that no man shall know the time or place.

You ask a question of importance and I felt it was necessary to respond.

"Peace be upon you."

"Yes, I'm aware that non-Christians are not expecting Jesus to ever return" !!! You might wanna reconsider your statement cos other religions do believe in the return of Jesus, one of them is Islam, yes Islam, don't be so surprised.

well - it's closer today that it was when the Apostle Paul was alive

however - since not even Jesus knows the time - don't worry

and live prepared that it can happen anyday

tomorrow - or 10 years from now

John 10:10

It is going to happen very soon now. Anyday!
The bible in Revelation says that the governments are going to turn on religon and devaste it . Expose it and eat it up.
That lunches us into Armageddon.
That means a war between God and men.

Unlikely.

It's like those people who sit around with the signs saying "The end is near." Everyone always thinks their lifetime is the end times, but in the broad spectrum of eternity, how likely is it that the end times truly are within your lifetime?
