If you don't act project, thuggish or ghetto, then you're crazy & not normal.

I get shunned the most because I'm the youngest person to go to college & the only one with a degree. I'm the family geek.

Hello Dinky,
On d 1st place, there's nothing to be proud of being thuggish or ghetto..Ur own family members knew that. Actually acting tough is people's way of putting up a front, to hide a certain fear & weakness. The real tough ones will not act tough, they will only do so when situations come. Deep within some of them are jealous of what you've accomplished & are trying to put you down & pull you back to their level. Don't budge. But don't quarrel with them either..Let them say whatever they want. Just remember ur dealing with insecured people & d more you react to them, d more u get sucked into it. Just go forward with your life. ..NO Dinky, ur not a geek..only in their eyes coz none of them have a degree. On the flipside it's them who are afraid of going out & exploring the outside coz they know their own limitations. U dare break the family trend by finishing college. Strive & make something out of ur life. That's the best way of sending them a message..In time, they will accept u for who who are. That i can guarantee u.

Hey, be proud of yourself. Many successful people come from messed up families . . . I certainly do . . . just be who you are and remember that you are not crazy or abnormal!

Good for you; you have done so well for yourself, especially with all that you have been through.

I believe your family is jealous that you were able to overcome everything. Don't listen to them.

They sound jealous because you have taken all the opportunities they have missed out on or rejected.
