Sorry. There is no correct answer for your question. An effective dosage depends on the individual being treated for pain, and the amount and type of medication the patient has already been taking for pain. The only reason to take this med daily is for chronic pain. It should be taken only if prescribed by your physician, and taken only as directed, if needed, for as short a time as possible.

That is the number 1 addicting drug for pain. I hate that drug.I would take many. Most Rx's are 1 to 2 every 4 to 6 hours and that was 500.mg Listen don't take it if you don't have to...

It is used for moderate to severe pain.
It is a controlled drug.It is addictive and can cause death through respiratory depression
do not combine with alcohol.Take prescribed dose only.
do not combine with other analgesics or sedatives without supervision.
That is why there is no safe daily dose
