This isn't one nation under god but you probably knew that. Check my sources link and read the section on the addition of under god to the pledge. Inform you dear old pappy too.

Pappy was wrong I would have to disagree with that statement Atheists are people. and you should have respect for anothers belief. Get off God's judgement Throne!

And its suppose to be this way its not going to get any better.

I am still truly shocked that people can say things like this. If Bush said that about a Jewish person or a Buddhist or any other belief, he would be under so much heat for it. But it's okay to discriminate against the god-hating, evil non believers, right?

Under god was added later, it wasn't always our "slogan."

When will the hate and intolerance stop?

People should accept atheists.

Can you blame anyone for not being relgious today?

What if all the trouble religion brings to the world. I am relgious but i think theres a fine line between being extreme and religion benefiting people. If anything really relgious people have put me off the idea of god because they are so threatening and horrible towards anyone who had their own ideas

His father made that idiotic statement. I wish people, including former presidents, understood the difference between a motto (in God we trust) and the rule of law (the first amendment).

Atheists have free will. Thy are no different from you or me. I really hate to say that but its true. Everybody deserves respect, as long as they don't push their Ideas on others. They still have to pay tax's and obey the law. I know how you feel, hell I am a catholic and I am defending them! Must be out of my mind!

What about freedom of religion? And why do you think you can judge others? That's not very religious of you! Why do so many so called religious people think they are god & pass judgement on others, that they know nothing about? Makes you not to trusting of religion!

No, I don't. As a Christian I hope all people will come to Christ, but the First Amendment in the Bill of Rights is freedom of religion. Just because they don't believe in God doesn't make them any less American or any less of a person than I am.

I hope your pappy chokes to death on broccoli. Just kidding! I don't wish that on someone because they have an opinion (no matter how stupid!).
