with 2 seatbelts, drive through the mountains at 70 mph and go swim in a hot spring. The heater core on the truck is out, so my air conditioner dosen't work properly, and im out of gas but i would use my rent money to pay for the trip. Is this a good idea? My girlfriend thinks it is.

If there are only 2 seatbelts, that's the maximum number of people you can legally carry. Period. The weather doesn't matter any more than the destination does.

On any kind of day, it's not a good idea to carry more people in any vehicle if there aren't enough seat belts for everybody.

Day before yesterday, where i live, there was a Cadillac with NINE people in it. They were t-boned by a pickup truck running a red light. FIVE people in the Cadillac were killed. Police say if everyone had been wearing seat belts, only 1 person would have lost their life, that person being the one at the point of impact.

It would not be a good idea, on any day, to put more people into a vehicle than it's designed to carry. Every occupant must have a seat belt.

The heater core, and the A/C are not connected, so one would not mean the other didn't work.

If I took any of your comments seriously, I would be reporting you the DPS, good thing I know you are kidding, right?

If you want to die of heat and exhaustion that may be a good idea.
