Ah. Thanks for the opportunity, Chris. Your mum. What can I say. She was one sweet and dear soul, that's for sure. She sure enjoyed the fun we shared here. She had to put up with some nutters here who could not stand her sweetness and light. T'was ever this in the lives of saints. Never a harsh word did I ever hear from her. Her faith was always so strong...she actually encouraged ME more times than I encouraged her. It was a pleasure to chat with her - and an honor to pray for her. I miss her very much.
May her sweet soul, and the souls of all the Faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. And may Light Perpetual shine upon them.
Chris, as I told you before, she will be remembered at the Altar of God at St. Barnabas tomorrow. As will you and all your family.
Peace, (2 Cor. 13:14)
Fr. K.

Dear Chris,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. From the posts of those who knew her, it sounds like she was thought of very kindly.
Do you have access to her account so you could get in touch with her contacts? Especially her fans? These would be some of the people who probably knew her best online.
By the way, Kallan is not the type to say her comment flippantly, so for an atheist to respect her as a Christian, you know that your mom exemplified God's love to others.
Can I share something with you? My best friend died several years ago and during the funeral, the pastor said that the body in the casket is not her at all. It's just her shell. What made your mom so special has moved on and she will be there again for you some day.

I did not know your mum, but given the nature of Y!A, I might email your mum's friends directly. It is very easy to miss certain messages because R&S has such a rapid-fire pace. I hope you get the oppurtunity to reach as many Susan J contacts as possible.
I lost my dad last year, so I my thoughts are with you in your loss.

Chris, I am so sorry to hear of Susan J's passing, please accept my condolences, she was a lovely lady, and raised lovely *children*, who kept everyone here posted when she was in hospital, and who were involved with her to the end, to know to let us all know what happened, you are a credit to her. I haven't been here for as long as the others, and unfortunately did not have a chance to get to know her well, before her illness, although I liked her answers when I came accross them, but I know that I missed out on a chance to know someone special on account of all the people who were concerned about her in her illness, and the concern shown by you to let us all know about it, and keep us posted....

Wow, where to start.
Well, to be perfectly honest, I had just started to get to the point where I recognized Susan when I saw her on here. But she always struck me as a sweet, loving person. Not perfect, but then none of us are, but always working towards it. She was a person who didn't just BELIEVE in Christianity, but lived it. She lived her life, as far as I could see, in a way that would be pleasing to our Father.
Susan touched people through her words, that much is undeniable. It's incredible that so many people would be affected so strongly by someone we've never seen, never hugged, never talked to in person...but I know I was. I thought about her often, after I first started to pay attention to names on here...and made sure to include her in my prayers every time I saw her on here.
It amazes me that she remained so sweet and loving, even with as much as I'm sure she was suffering the last few days of her life. Even through her pain, she remained a beacon of love, hope, and faith.
I know I'll never forget her...even if what I knew of her was brief.
You and your family continue to be in my prayers. I'm glad Susan is out of suffering, but I know I'll miss seeing her on here.

I didn't really know her that well, she first came to my attention when Father K asked for prayer for her. In the time since I have prayed for her and was just in awe of the people's lives that she touched. God bless and keep you Chris.

Susan took an impersonal experience of an internet forum and made it so full of love and light that our cups ran over!

Your mom touched many of us here. I am Muslim and she always respected me and treated me with kindness, and defended Islam and Muslims when she saw us being unjustly attacked. She was how all good Christians should be. I know she is where she belongs, with God, her Creator.

Your mum was like that here.. full of life, full of kindness and always seemed happy. She loved her family very much, and she loved Jesus very much as well. She was a true example of how he was portrayed in the bible. She exuded love, peace, joy and quiet strength. We were all honored to have her in our lives... even if only on the internet.

My father recently died of lung cancer and your mom just reminded me of his spirit and strength through all the procedures he had to go through.
She, as was my father, was an inspiration to me to live life to its fullest and to stop procrastinating and start my support group in my church.
Today was my first meeting with our church elders on this subject. They send their condolences and will continue to pray for your family.
Our prayers are, as always for you and your family.
Hugs
Melissa
