You make a good point---I never thought about it that way before.

If you believe you are a man, you are pride? No, you just believe what is true, same is believing in the true creator of the universe. It does not "has to be", you wish to be.
Finally, are you familiar with the latest on "string theory"? Did you know that Bible talked about it a long ago just like it talked about more other things? Here goes:
"Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." Hebrews 11:3 (King James Version)
King James Version is considered to be literal.

Believing in God is prideful yes, but not in a bad way. the pride talked about there is the pride of the heart, like money or riches or things of the world. And I bet you knew that. The Bible is true, God's book, and correct and I believe it with all my heart.

According to the Bible Jesus Christ died for all sins--past, present, and future. In order to be saved, I must agree with God that I am a sinner and that I have no means to save myself. I must believe that the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ is the only means for my salvation, and I must accept his sacrifice in my place for my sins.
Once I do that, I am saved. I do not become unsaved if I sin and indeed the Bible teaches that I will sin. The Holy Spirit works to transform me over time, and I should see myself sinning less and living more in obedience.
Now onto your other point . . .Is believing that there is only one God an act of pride? Not according to the Bible. We are told to believe God and God says he's the only one. Pride is when we place our own selves over God. In fact, the Bible tells believers to "boast in the LORD."
Consider this passage, "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice, and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD" Jeremiah 9:23.
Since your syllogism is based on a false premise, your logic is flawed.
I believe the Bible is true and reliable and an authority for my life. I don't believe it is right sometimes and wrong other times. I don't pick and choose.
Blessings.

No everyone is not going to hell. In spite of your circular logic.
No the Bible isn't the ONLY basis for Christianity. Jesus Christ is. The Gospel of John ends: And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written.

yeh , nice try pal . Worded very nicely ......... Apparently you never read the Bible either . ( which goes for a lot of people trying to dis proove the bible )
The bible specifically states that you may only worship The God of Abraham , and Issac ( which is Jesus in trinity fashion ) . The new testament is littered with only worshiping Jesus and none else .
Read it !! you'll find it , dude .

Believing God is the only God isn't pride, it's believing the truth. Knowing you are right isn't pride. You should figure out what pride is first.

grasping at straws, are we? You are using faulty logic on this one, bub. God is very clear that we are to put no other gods before Him and worship Him alone. How is this pride? I call it obedience to my Heavenly Father.
I think your question is the most meandering piece of circular reasoning I have ever seen. Well done. Unfortunately, you've proven nothing.

No, not everyone is going to hell. those who do go to hell, have chosen this by not choosing to do what GOD wants. Those who repent and do what GOD wants . .. they LOVE GOD . .. and that's what will please GOD . .. what will make GOD made are the disobedient . .. one easy sin is lust, and it is because of the lust of the flesh that most souls who do go to hell will get there. repent repent repent . ..
LOVE your neighbor as yourself.
Amen.

There's an in this question... but don't worry about it for now.
Nobody's going to go to a place that isn't there... and dead people aren't very good at traveling anyhow...
Nuff said.
