In the face of near inmountable prrof for the oposition why can't any christians just say "Wow that is messed up." or anything like that. When provided with contradictiosn they say there are none. When confronted with the atrocities of the religion they say other religions did bad stuff too. So that makes it ok? Your religions not ok. If jesus feels you with so much love then why are there so many stupid mean christians on this very site. Do you realize when you justify things by saying you have to view it with the spirit or such you sound just like a person on drugs. Exactly like LSD.
If you have to believe in something why not make up a god and be ok with that god. Instead of shoe horning yourself into this made up story just to fit in. Is that all you want is acceptance?
Christians please try to answer my next question as well as this one if you want to really explain your religion.

I'll take one of your points. You point out that many atrocities have been done in the name of Christianity. My response? I know, and that's terrible and grieves the very heart of God.
How can I defend Jesus Christ in the face of such atrocities done in his name? Jesus needs no defense. He does not ask us to choose to follow him or to reject him based on those who claim to be his followers. He asks us to listen to him, to determine who he said he is and what he wants his followers to do, and then for each one of us to choose for ourselves.
Praise God that he doesn't determine how well I am following him based on what some others who call themselves Christians say or do.
Why are there so many "mean, stupid Christians on this very site"? I don't know these people so, like you, I can only guess. Some of them probably aren't really Christians at all. I've met many people who believe they are "Christians" because they are not Muslims or Jews. There are many church-going people who have never made a decision to follow Jesus Christ.
Others are probably very immature believers and feel threatened by Atheism and related questions. They are still young in spiritual learning, and God has a lot of work to do in their lives as far as developing the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, and self-control.
And, yes, I agree with you that Christians are not supposed to be "mean."

So, you've decided to say that all Christians are idiotic assholes? Thanks, really appreciate the fact that you are being so intolerant. If you could tell us exactly what it is that Christians so wrong about, and maybe give us the chance to "explain ourselves" instead of this simple minded accusation.
You say there are so many mean and stupid Christians...why don't you look at the meanness in the way you have worded your question? Why don't you look at so many of the questions and answers that attack Christians outright? No one is perfect, and I've seen a lot of messed up people in my life, and plenty of them have called themselves Christians, but that certainly does not make us ALL like that. I've also met unkind Atheists, unkind Muslims, unkind agnostics, and unkind Jews, but I will NEVER be so idiotic to believe they are all unkind.
What did a Christian do to you that made you decide to be against all of us?

Why are there so many stupid, mean Atheists on this site? What you don't understand is being mean, stupid, evil is a human condition, and has nothing to do with whatever beliefs a person has. There are Atheists who are mean and stupid and religious people who are mean and stupid. If no religion ever existed, do you really believe the world would be a better place? The world would still have a bunch of mean stupid, people if no religion had ever existed and you know it. Maybe if money never existed the world would be a better place.

I think you are missing the point...as in all religions there are people who attempt or pose as "christians" and those who really do live up to what Christianity stands for, which I won't take the time to go over, you can research that for yourself (it seems that the lady who answered Christianity is "nauseating", probably won't take the time to educate herself), but it seems to me it's similar to Islamics who practice what the Koran teaches them, as opposed to Fundamentalist Islamics who believe they must annhilate Western cultures...Face it my friend, there are "mean" people in every religion on the face of the Earth. i think our goal should be to not worry so much about what other people believe, and focus on what's important to YOU. The majority of the wars fought in this planet's history would have never been fought if we all realized that...

They are right maybe? Because you don't feel love when you are criticized but this often does not mean you are not loved. Yes I realize that, but you realize I realize? Christ Died so that we would have an opportunity to be in Heaven. HE did not die for the fun of it. HE did not make up the story and feed it to HIS Disciples to a made up bunch of people and to sell HIS FATHER'S WORDS of TRUTH. HIS Story is the only one that you and I need to know to have a way out of HeLL. Get your head out of the clouds and study while you still have the time. Because there are precious few real Christians in this world. Most live in glass houses (with real gold faucets) trashing the lives of others while they live in ignorant splendor. Most real Christians would not waste their time on this site. They are out there in the real world doing God's work and living by Christ's teachings and not those of his self-obsessed apostles and certifiably insane "followers" like Leviticus.

Thanks for lumping us all together as jerks. Some of us aren't and many of us are quite willing to acknowledge many of the things wrong with the religion.
At least have the decency to use the phrase "many Christians" or "some Christians" in your next question. Right now, you sound as immovable and intolerant as the ones you are ranting about.
