The Immaculate Conception
The doctrine of the Immaculate Conception teaches that Mary, the mother of Christ, was conceived without sin and her conception was thus immaculate.

Mary's sinless conception is the reason why Catholics refer to Mary as "full of grace".

The Feast of the Immaculate Conception is celebrated by Catholics on December 8th each year.

Mistakes
There are two mistakes that people often make about the Immaculate Conception:

Many people confuse the Immaculate Conception with the 'virgin birth'; the belief that Mary gave birth to Jesus while remaining a virgin. They are not the same thing.

A less common mistake is to think that the Immaculate Conception means that Mary was conceived without sexual intercourse. In fact Mary had ordinary human parents who conceived her in the usual manner.

Utterly unbelievable, but only in my opinion. I'm not one to go round insulting people who do believe.

I could argue all the scientific points about it, but that would be disrespectful to people who believe.

Instead I choose to think of it as a part of Christian religion, which states that a lady called Mary gave birth to a child called Jesus, without having any sexual contact prior to the conception of the child. There has been no mention of her husband, Joseph, having any trust issues with that. It seems he took her explanation of divine intervention as true, without question.

That sets him apart from virtually every man I have ever heard of, regardless of faith. I'm sure most men would be a little suspicious as to how this could have happened, and not very likely at all to accept the account as presented in the Bible.

But, if that's the way Christians choose to believe it was, then I have absolutely no business to give them a hard time over it.

Travel your life's path in peace, my friend.

There is absolutely no physical evidence that immaculate conception ever took place. The is no oral or written evidence contemporary to the supposed event. There are second and third hand writings put down at least 40 years after the event supposedly took place.

The Christians have Faith and that is all. In fact one of their worshiped Gods appears to be Faith, along with their Bibles.

Immaculate Conception means Mary was conceived without Original sin, as God foresaw that she would say yes to the Angel Gabriel's question.

The Immaculate Conception refers to MARY BEING BORN WITHOUT ORIGINAL SIN!

It has NOTHING to do with how Jesus was conceived.

I can't believe how misguided so many of you are.

It's a faerie tale used by the Church to further the lie....

There is no such thing as immaculate conception...it's impossible, in accordance to the laws of physics.

Doctor's are doing today, what God did 2,000 years ago, so why should anyone be puzzled by it. There are virgin's today, being impregnated with donor semen. How many lesbians have given birth? I don't understand why some people think it would make the birth any more difficult. Once pregnant, hormones prepare the body for birth, regardless of how the pregnancy came about. The bible tells us that the Holy Sprit sent Mary into a deep sleep and she became with child. Why is that so hard to accept?

The Immaculate Conception took place, when Mary was a very young teenager.
When I think of Mary, I usually think of our Lady of Sorrows, the mother holding her son's battered dead body, when he was lifted down from the cross how sad her heart was.

Well, for starters, it's "immaculate" because it doesn't involve sexual intercourse, which is therefore evidently to be considered "dirty." It's the standard "Christian" anti-sex theme again. But everybody knows that the Christian virgin birth doctrine is in part based on a flawed translation of Isaiah 7:14, and in part on the old pagan myths, in which the gods were always assuming animal form and raping virgins.
