So im friends with this guy...and were like ultra close, i mean i've told him stuff no one knows about me. I know he liked me for a while, i told him i didnt feel that way. Were still friends, but I want to pull back. I dont like feeling vulnerable, and lately he's been annoying me and i just want to have stuff about me that not everyone knows. Were too close, and I dont want that. How can I pull back, without seeming like im ignoring him or being mean? Help!

If he has got your skeletons in his hand, then you are in a bad spot, and my advice is either face up to your secrets and confront him, dont confront him and keep in touch but less often citing a new hobby, job or relationship as taking up your time.. or dig up some dirt on him!!

you set the pattern when you told him things the first time, now you have to take responsibility for doing that. Well, you don't have to, but it is the mature thing to do, so I guess you either need to grow up and deal with what you created, or regress into childhood and run away from it.

I think you should politely talk to him about the circumstances around the friendship you guys have. Explain to him that for personal reasons you don't think it would be fair for both of you to be that close.

you can't. all you can do is pull back and wait it out. there will be some backlash but you will get your space and he will get over it. in the long run, none of this will matter.

there are only 3 ways.....ignore him....be mean....or have a
talk with him..to let him know to get going.
