Salt water dehydrates you more. Plain water is better than sugar water. Sleep is the best of all.

Your best bet is fluids and/or foods that contain sodium. That is, if you are going to be consuming only fluids, a sports drink (with sodium) will do a better job of replacing sweat losses than will plain water, juice or soda pop. The sodium enhances fluid absorption and retention. Or, if you prefer sodium-free beverages, simply eat salty foods alongside with water, such as pretzels, crackers, pizza, or pasta with tomato sauce .

Just drink plenty of plain water, and if you want to put something in it, you can put sugar, but not salt. Salt would make it worse.

sugar makes people dehydrated. salt attracts water. so drinking a sports' drink like gatorade is good for dehydration, but if its sports related. if your not active, just drink plain water, meaning (no salt or sugar).
