I'm making a chocolate cake... Can I replace cream with cream cheese? And.. which cream do I have to use if I can't use cream cheese? (ex. whipped cream)

Your cream cheese is considered a 'solid'. You cannot replace a liquid with a solid, so use canned, whole, 2% milk or half and half -- even whipping cream if you have to, but don't use the cream cheese. Save that for the frosting or even the filling part.

You really need to follow your recipe. You cannot replace cream with cream cheese. Use whatever cream your recipe calls for, heavy cream, 1/2 and 1/2, or light cream. There are very few things you can substitute when baking.

No. Go to the store, cream will be in the dairy section. For a lower calorie cake (not much though) you can buy something called half and half.

use half fat cream or full fat milk. i use cream cheese for icing but not inside the cake.
