Did you know that 20 or so years ago there was a study that linked aspertame/nutrasweet to leukemia and other cancers. I know it was 20 years, but I'm only 30 ... it's something that kinda sticks with you huh.

Artificial sweetners aren't healthy in small amounts either. If you use them periodically, even in just tiny doses, over a period of time they've been linked to quite a few medical problems. And splenda not poisonous just because it doesn't have aspartame? Pfft...As somsone else said, 2% of it is metals and that doesn't sound very healthy. Also, a tiny part of it happens to be arsonic, more commonly known as rat poison.

This is horrific - i gave up aspartame last month when I learned of this. Think Splendas any better - it has 2% METALS in it! AHHHHHHHHH!!! Aspartame is the NUMBER ONE most complaint apon substance to the FDA and is traced to over 80 different health conditions! It's satan.

Ive heard they contain aspertame too but you are not going to get poisoned by having it in small doses. If you use an excessive amount of artificial sweeteners they can be bad for your health but as long as your not having like 20 diet sodas a day or sprinkling splenda/nutrasweet,etc all over your food or in your drinks you should be fine. Its not healthy in large amounts, but you'll be fine if you have it occassionally.

Splenda and sucralose are not poisonous.
The other kinds of artificial sweetners using aspatame have some negative effects, and some people (like you) are alergic. Even I have had some memory and concentration effects after using aspartame for several months on a diet in 2005 (but when I quit using it, those effects went away).
Sucralose is not aspartame -- they are 2 completely different substances. Sucralose is an isomer of dextrose (real sugar). That is, dextrose and sucralose have identical chemical composition, but sucralose has one atom oriented different in the molecular chain, so the human body does not 'see' it as dextrose, therefore it is not processed as sugar.
The europeans have been using sucralose for almost 2 decades with little complaint and no evidence for it being 'poison'.

Yes I knew this all along. Sugar is the only sweetener to be of use, except dextrose(corn sweetener) all the rest are out to harm one!
