Country Crock mashed potatoes, mac and cheese,broccoli/cheese rice are all good if you're in a hurry.Bob Evans mashed potatoes are good too.One of those companies now has a green bean casserole out now.I wouldn't serve it at Thanksgiving,or at a dinner with guests, but they are great to grab with a rotisserie chicken on the way home from work.

I don't care for Country Crock's mashed potatoes or their stuffing. Both are salty and not very appetizing.
However, the Bob Evans varieties are about as close to homemade as it gets without hauling out the potato peeler. Their garlic mashed potatoes are particularly good, especially if you add some shredded Cheddar to it.

I've never tried the Country Crock, but I frequently buy the Simply Potatoes brand. They taste like homemade and they're quite convenient if you're willing to pay more.

not Country Crock but l have used Bob Evans sour cream and cheddar and the plain ones. They are pretty good. The cheesey taste doesn't come thru very stong tho. l'm not one to peel potatoes, cook and mash them so they do for me.

I didn't like them, and making mashed potatoes from scratch isn't that difficult........Now, the ones in the refrigerated section of Costco, are very good, amazingly enough.......I think they're called First Street or Main Street brand........quite good, don't need too much "doctoring" up to eat them......

The ONLY instant mashed I'll eat. Love the Homestyle butter, not so much the garlic and herb.

I haven't tried them. Since my family prefers homemade mashed potatotes. But here are some recipes that you might can use to spice up the store bought mashed potatoes.
*******HEAVENLY MASHED POTATOES
1 bag red potatoes 5 lb (or potatoe of choice)
3/4 of a 16 0z container of onion sour cream (give or take)
1/4 cup parsley (give or take)
1 stick salted butter (give or take)
3 tablespoons coarse black pepper (give or take)
2 tablespoons coarse kosher salt (give or take)
Leaving skins on the potatoes, wash them well. Large potatoes can be cut into quarters; smaller in halves. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Place potatoes in the ater and cook until fork tender. Strain water and leave potatoes in hot pot to dry.
Add the butter and sour cream.
Using a masher, blend all ingredients. Add parsley, salt, pepper; blend with masher. According to taste, mash to consistency desired. For creamiest potatoes, use a wand blender inserted in pot. Add more butter, sour cream, or spices to taste.
Serve as is or place potatoes in casserole dish and bake until top is golden brown and crunchy in a 425 degree oven.
***********QUICK BACON GARLIC MASHED POTATOES
5 or 6 red potatoes
milk,
dash of garlic powder
butter
half jar of Real Bacon bits
salt and pepper
Peel potatoes and boil until soft, mash potatoes, add a little milk a dash of garlic salt, 2 to 4 tablespoons of butter. add a jar of real bacon bits salt and pepper to taste mix through.

I just tried them the other day. Yeah, they are decent, but they seem kind of dry as if they didn't add any milk and butter. But thats just what I tasted.
