I got my hair permanently straightened and my mom bought me shampoo. On the bottle it says safe for color-treated hair. I was wondering if that was safe to use on my hair cause when it says that it means it won't react to chemicals or can I only use products that say safe for permed hair???

its safe for any type of chemical u have on ur hair. It is important to use products for chemically treated hair because they arent as harsh

Hi. I know just how you feel! I had the same problem and now will use nothing but Elvive Colour Protecting Shampoo, Conditoner and Hair Masque. They are in red bottles and easy to spot on the shelves. Don't be fooled by their cheap price. I've used to think that the more you paid for a shampoo the better it was. However, my hairdresser recommended the Elvive range and they really do win hands down. Much better in my opinion than Aveda. Just be sure you get the right range - as I say the bottles are big, red and cheap. Good luck and hope you like them.
