i am having problems with windows media player so can you tell me what other programs can do that

hi Marie, i have to agree with the itunes comment, don't use it, you will probably be giving yourself loads of problams. Nero, Sonic there are quite a few paid for programes you can use, or, go to download.com and search for 'mp3 compression' it should give you a few freebies that you can use, i think there is one called 'audacious' or something similar which has a free version, i have probably spelt it wrong but i am sure you can figure it out LOL. take care and good luck.

best bet would be wavepad, you can turn any audio format into any other audio format, even add your own audio and remix the track before making it a mp3...best of all its FREEEEEE
personally for editing tracks and converting files its better than itunes because itunes was deisgned to manage the Ipod as well as well as music, just seems like a waste to use itunes for something that could be done on a much more lightweight program, not to doubt itunes abillity, i myself use itnes but find Wavepad is better for converting, it even has install on demand applications called switch which is a straight up one stop file converter, jus drag and drop and it does it....FREEE

quictime basic, real player, jukebox. stay away from itunes. those are not Real mp3, and they corrupt file sharing programs.
