I prefer cooking it in the microwave, but I've found if I do it on the defrost setting it seems to cook a little better and doesn't get as dry, at least for turkey bacon. Line a plate with paper towels on top and bottom of the bacon to help absorb some fat. Also there are special bacon microwave trays out there. The only one I can think of off hand is the "bacon barn." Sounds goofy and it is, but it some people prefer microwaving bacon this way because it allows the grease and fat to run off and collects it in a tray.

Yes, I have microwaved bacon many times. I even had at one time a special cooker for microwaving bacon that had ridges for the bacon slices to sit on top of, and a slant to it so the fat would run into a trough that was lower than the bacon. Worked great til I lost it while moving from one state to another a few years back. (I would put paper towels on top of the bacon so it would not splatter all over the microwave).

I use the microwave to nuke bacon. I use pork bacon. I place 3 to 4 strips on a ridged microwave plate. The valleys between the ridges carry the fat away from the bacon, so I am able to get it crisp. I find I do better nuking it than trying to fry it.

drape bacon over pint jar set on glass pie plate. cook on high for 1 minute at a time. this is for regular bacon. quick already cooked bacon that only needs to be heated: lay between paper towel sheets and heat 30 seconds at a time on high. when it is hot, remove.
