If you don't already have the ingredients - go and buy them. The recipe will be on the back of the chocolate chip container. Get the hugest bowl you can find (Maybe even a new or very clean garbage can) - mulitply the recipe by 5 - and do all of the mixing and everything at once (no need to measure 5 times). If you don't have a bunch of cookie sheets - buy those while you are the store too - 'cause you want to have cookies ready to go into the oven each time a sheet comes out. You don't want to wait around for the sheets to cool. It doesn't take that long for them to bake - (I'm remembering about 15 minutes at the most - but it'll say on the recipe) - so say each recipe (batch) is going to make 4 sheets of cookies - 5 batches will be 20 sheets of cookies - and if you are baking two sheets at a time that's just 10 x 15 minutes - which is 150 minutes (2 and a half hours) So - even with the trip to the store - this is only about a 5 hour project at the most. You should be fine.

Congratulations to your church!

Namaste! And eat a cookie for me!

Get a friend (or 2) to help.

One person mixes the batter, then when it's done dump it into another bowl and start making the next batch.

Another person then deals with putting the dough onto the cookie sheets.

If you have baking parchment, that's even better. Cut the parchment to fit your pans, and put the cookie dough onto the sheets. When one pan of cookies is done, slide the parchment (and cookies) off the pan, put a new piece on, and you're ready to go back in the oven.

Alternatively, don't make individual cookies - spread an entire batch into a cookie pan, making one large pan cookie. (BE SURE TO GREASE THE PAN WELL) Lower the temperature a little, so that the edges don't overbake while the center is cooking. Remove the "cookie" from the pan, cool, then cut into squares.

It would help if your mom has an upright mixer. Kitchenaid is an excellent choice. They are rather expensive around 200 or 300 dollars. If she can afford it I suggest she run out and get one . If not she can use a regular hand held mixer. She needs at least 3 big cookie sheets or 5 smaller ones. Efficiency is the key here. Get parchment paper for the cookie shhets. This will save you valuable time of washing the cookie sheets between batches. I hope you have wire racks to cool them on. Cooling them does not take very long. Mix up your cookie dough. Put spoonfuls of the dough in rows on your cookie sheets make sure you allow room for them to spread. put in oven. While these are baking she can start getting another cookie sheet of dough ready. then when the cookies come out of the oven put the other ones in the oven. let the baked cookies stay on the pan for about 5 minutes. Pull the whole parchment sheet of cookies of the pan and put on wire racks to cool. Cooling only takes about 20 minutes. Or you can help your mom take the whole parchment sheet of cookies to the kitchen table or cabinet to cool.. Keep baking cookies and getting the pans ready like this. It works everytime. She may want to rinse the cookie sheets in cold water every couple of batches and dry them off to cool them down. Take the parchment off first though. If you want cookies that are flat and crisp use butter ( not margarine). If you want cookies that are chewy use shortening. Wish your mom luck for me and go help her! Do NOT grease the pan ever when you are making cookies. This will cause them to spread too much. You don't need to grease the pan because of the shortening or butter that is in the cookie dough. I know this because I bake alot and have even thought about goinf into business for myself as a baker.

Chill out. Buy 5 boxes of cookie mix and make 5 batches of cookies. They only have to cook for about 15-20 minutes.
Simple solution for a simple problem. If you're REALLY desperate, go to the damn supermarket and buy 5 packages of Chips Ahoy's.

i think of the butter crisco recipe is the suitable....yet you ought to use butter crisco (which isn't trans fat unfastened) I double the recipe up as shown right here a million a million/2 cups butter crisco 2 a million/2 cups packed brown sugar 2 eggs mixture all this up (i take advantage of my kitchenaid mixer) upload 2 tbsp milk and a pair of tbsp vanilla and back mixture til blended. Then upload: 3 a million/2 cups flour a million a million/2 tsp salt and a million a million/2 tsp baking soda integrate all this properly interior the mixer. upload a million 12 ouncesbag of choc chips and a 12 ouncesbag of nuts or m & m's and combine them in properly. Bake at 350 for 9-10 minutes. those cookies are consistently delicate and sooo solid. on the topic of the sole cookie recipe i do no longer use butter in. Butter makes them crispier and browner swifter.

Just double the receipe twice and then just do the regular receipe just once. If you had a big enough mixer you could do all at once but I think all the standard mixer could handle is doubling the receipe. Meaning if there is 2 sticks of butter but in 4, 3 eggs but in 6, etc. After you do that twice then you can just follow the normal receipe

Find a bakery in another town, buy five batches of cookies, wrap them up and smile while everyone tells your mom how wonderful her hommade cookies are.
