This is one of the weirdest problems I've had with my car's audio. During the day everything seems to work perfectly, but everytime I get in my car at night and turn it on, nothing comes out of the back speakers. There's only been a few times during the day where it didn't work, and a few times at night where it did work. I'm at wits end right now, and hoping someone has any ideas as to what the problem could be. One friend mentioned that it could involve the front head lights, but I'm not sure. Any help is greatly appriciated!! Thanks.

Somehow your lights and your speaker grounds are connecting. Check the wiring harness in the rear. If the speaker ground is shorted to the light circuit hot side, the speakers would work when the lights were off, because the speakers would be able to ground through the lights!

When there is power to the lights, the speakers can not complete the circuit, and will not work.
