I would never rag on another religion, and I know all religions are guilty of something, but I grew up catholic and went through the whole song and dance, so I know what i'm talking about. 99.99% of hardcore catholics are full of SH*T, all of them.

He's a lost soul that needs repentance and much service to the community. He's brought much suffering to his family and those around him which should be repaired, most of all he needs to repent to heal and change. Everyone falls, sins, and needs help. Don't call him a hypocrite, pray for him. Pray for anyone who is in this sort of situation, it is a symptom of suffering that causes more suffering on those around him.

Being Catholic is not what is important. Being someone who has accepted Christ as Lord and Savior and has repented from their sins is what God calls us to do. When we do that God tells us (John 3) He will send His Holy Spirit to come and dwell within us forever. This is what a real Christian is, it is not our church, baptism, priest, pastor or anything else that can save us only Jesus Christ whom God sent. So I don't know the person of whom you speak about but unless he has done what I have just written he is slated for hell unless he changes. I would say this a typical example of a man who was never saved in the first place..I don't know his history so I can't say for sure, but he is definitely not acting like a Christian.

So many think because they are brought up in a particular religion and go to church, they are saved...It is just not Catholics, it is Baptist, Methodists, Pentacostal...etc....you must repent, be baptized and have a personal relationship with Jesus, to be saved...repent, means to turn your life over to and live for God...Even the Pope won't be saved if he hasn't repented and turned from sin.
