My little boy does not sleep at night, he goes to bed at the same time every night, he will scream and cry for hours before finally falling asleep and then he only sleeps for a about 2 hours or so and then he is up the rest of the night just dosing off and on. I have tried everything setting a rountine, giving him a bath and everything. I don't know whatelse to do...Please help

There may be a serious health problem. Please go talk to his doctor about this ASAP. Frequently, this is an indication of heart problems. If he is examined and nothing is found to be wrong with him, then I suggest you follow the advice of Dr. Spock. Put him to bed, shut the door, and don't go to him again until it is time for YOU to wake up. Let him scream. After about a week, he'll sleep through the night.

does he sleep during the day? or does he only sleep for a total of just over 2 hours and then doze on and off? Is he incredibly cranky? If he is only sleeping a few hours total, I would talk to your pediatrician and see a sleep specialist.

How much movement does he during the day?? If sounds like he does not do much. run him ragged during the day and he will sleep at night. and when you lay him down at night don't go running into him when starts to cry at night let him cry.give it about a week and he will sleep through the night. it work on my son
