Helen, how is wanting marriage a "special" right? You can marry who you want to marry, that's what gay people want. It's wqual rights, not special rights.

Even if they are sinners, Everyone in America has the freedom to sin as long as it doesn't break any civil law. If gay people are sinners, that's between them and the Church, not them and the government. Plus, we have freedom of religion in the US, so not everyone's idea of "sin" is the same. You needn't live under my definition of sin and visa versa.

Not only Christians, many people, and not beacuse they are homophobes... beacause they say natural is woman and man, not woman and woman or man an man.

Well I am not gay and I want to say that each and everyone of us has they`re own life so if they want to live that way let them.

Normaly not all people can do what ever they want like: rob, kill, etc.. not that but you know these rules are for: what happens to the child? if he sees that he does not have a mother? a child needs a mother and maybe then he can turn up bad... Well I do not agree with: he came from low social life and that is why he killed... no he can come from rich people too and still kill or rob, etc.

So Special Rights? well they should have Normal Rights; cause they don`t have this either.

bye

Good question.. A gold star for you..

I have never met a gay person who wants special rights either.. Equal rights are not special rights..

Christians in general are far to concerned about what's going on in other peoples relationships.. They judge when they see fit while yelling don't judge me it's against the bible.. Hypocrisy in action..

They shouldn't have to settle.. No one should have to settle you don't want to settle I don't want to settle they don't want to settle....

I see this absurd statement too and I have to wonder about the intelligence of the person saying it.

How is equal rights "special"?

When any group feel their rights have been taken from them some how, they will then want 'special rights' or whatever else we may want to call it.

"Marriage" would be one of them...

Marriage up until recent years has always been defined as between man and woman.

Why didn't homosexuals just pick a different term to describe their unions? Why did they want the "right" to be considered a married couple? Why didn't they settle for an equivalent of marriage, instead of literal "marriage"?

I'm sure too that somewhere out there, there is disgruntled homosexuals because a particular church refused to marry them --- and no doubt there are homosexual partners fighting that too.

and while we're on the topic of church, what about the homosexuals who have fought for the right to be "ordained clergy" when it never was accepted?

Seriously, I wish they would step back and see their "partnerships" for what they are.

They're not bad people...some of them are quite nice/kind...but sin is sin. Homosexuality is considered an abomination.

Gays aren't asking for the world...

What's special about equal..???

...it's just that some christian people make their claims in error ... they're mistaken in their word choices ...or it's because those christians are truly as bigoted as their bible and their church leadership suggests they ought to be.

The spirit of homosexuality is rooted in rejection. Gay people feed off of acceptance. They want to be accepted in everything possible. This is why they always want to be known in the Church. They want to be in the Choir....direct the Choir...get on the pulpit...etc. When they are told no...they feel the rejection all over again. Now don't get me wrong...I am not bashing gay people, because I used to be one of them. I am telling you what was revealed to me by the Holy Spirit. Many gay people want to be treated equal to everyone else. But many did not know that back in the day, homosexuality used to be seen by doctors as a mental disorder. Look it up. This stopped after gay doctors changed it. People have to understand that God does not accept homosexuality nor does He accept homosexuals unless they are looking for repentance. Who cares if you guys hate me for saying this. You may say, "This is why I hate Christianity". Well, who cares. You just hate Christianity because it makes you knowledgable of your sins and wrong doings....

They want the right to be treated as equals. To christians, that is a special right and they're picky about who they give it to.
