You could be getting early arthritis and, if that's your avatar and your smoking, what's the sense of the weight lifting?

If the pain gets to be to much use ice packs and raise your legs with a pillow under them, while you sleep also, it'll also help your back, stop the weights until you've seen an orthopedic surgeon, either he or your doctor will take X-Rays first and then MRI's to see what's going on. It's my bet on the arthritis and you'll probably get a therapy regimen to follow.

Since your into weights ask your doctor about Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate. the Glucosamine is what your body produces to help healing the cartilage and the pain of being used. Ask your doctor it's an over the counter thing and it's about $9.98 at Wal-Mart. It doesn't work for everyone but for those that do, they say it's great.
Stop the butts.

You are doing squats incorrectly. Remember knee over ankle not past toes.
