Terrorism comes in many forms. No particular religion is responsible. I have known of Christian terrorists and atheist terrorists. Not just Islamic terrorists.
Just because these people hide behind their religion to justify their actions, it does not make their actions to be in agreement of their religion.
I happen to know that Christianity is a religion of love, yet many Christians actively support acts of hate, simply because they believe they are doing 'the right thing'.
I presume this also applies to the Islamic 'preachers of hate' that we hear so much about. Perhaps a real loving dialogue should take place, so that the West may find out what has angered these fundies so much, and then I hope that a path to absolute peace can be found.
As for suicide bombers, I believe there must be an important message that our Western leaders do not want to acknowledge. Nobody I have ever known would be prepared to take their own life, just to harm others and wind someone up. It simply wouldn't be worth it.

Its all the MEDIA!
The Western Media has caused the west to believe in their point of view, and only giving one side of the story blinds the people viewing: that is almost everybody. It has made its "victims" extremely ignorant, and I am truly proud of those who see through its schemes. The Media has forced its viewers to believe that Islam is a violent, bloody, intolerant religion, but in reality this is actually the opposite. If people would stop accepting their television sets as their teachers, more people would know the actual truth about Islam. The Media reports misleading stories, gross exaggerations, inaccurate information, and false statements about Islam and Muslims to undermine the religion, and unfortunately, this propaganda is a success--many, MANY Americans believe everything they hear on the news or read in the newspaper. What they fail to realize is that what they read/hear is only one point of view of a bias Media that has been criticizing Muslims with false information vigorously since 9/11.
Terrorism is CONDEMNED in Islam; it is not allowed, period. Neither is innocent murder, suicide of any kind, forced marriages or forced conversions. These are all misleading fabrications composed by the Media. You can't always believe what you hear.
Although such actions undoubtedly do or did occur at some point in time, these were/are not actions imposed by Islam, but rather the actions of the misguided people who have misunderstood the meaning of true Islam. And, there is also the possibility that they these people were hired by the American or Israeli government, pretending to be Muslim. That may sound silly, but it has actually been the case before.
Terrorists are not true Muslims; they use Islam as a mask to cover up their dirty work, and give Islam a bad name. Most of them are only Muslim by name, yet are still accused of acting upon Islamic teachings, when in actuality, they are not. It is not fair for the majority of Muslims, who oppose terrorism and denounce violence that is occurring. Unfortunately, the Media will never let this be known, making it look like Muslims support these radical actions, when in reality they absolutely do NOT.
Please refer to the following video. It is very true, and will provide valuable insight; I strongly recommend watching it:

I have made a cursory look at Islam and it does seem to be as valid and as good a religion as Judaism and Christianity. The problem is that even though there are "millions of Muslims across the world who are not associated with these kinds of things" I get the impression that they secretly rejoice inside every time the Western countries, particularly USA sustain an act of terrorism. How many of the terrorists are turned in or informed on by the "good" Muslims. Of course the terrorism is connected to Islam. The terrorists are acting in the name of Islam even though we know it is more political than religious. It is up to the "good" Muslims to speak out against Imams who are promoting violence. Take a stand and if your Muslim way of life is so superior to the democratic and religious freedom way of the West, stay in or go back to the country where you will feel more comfortable. You are welcome as good citizens in the Western world and granted religious freedom (good luck to me if I went to a Muslim country).

It has no doubt in it that islam is the best religion on the earth. Before i go further, I would like to say one thing, that people always look for something which is latest and islam is the latest, the most truthful and the best religion on the surface of earth.
Terrorism, why it has been associated to muslims only? This question can only be answered by those who are the world's leaders. Every action has a reaction, what is happening in the world, which countries have yet been crushed, everyone knows the answer that all Muslim countries, one after another, have been targetted and muslims are being crushed by so called world leaders. What they are doing in these muslim countries, ain't it the war of oil and economy. Does musims have no right to protect themselves to through them out of our homes. Who would like an enemy to be entered into your house and kill you and take all your stuff with him. Won't you retaliate?
It is shameful for those who are crushing the muslims who have no power and trying to own their properties by hook or by crook.
Live and let others live happily.

How can you use the words Islam and perfect in the same sentence ?
When an act of terrorism is carried out in America, all Americans want to see the creeps hung, think McVay. When terrorism is carried out in a Muslim country, like a marketplace killing of dozens of women and kids. Or a school-bus bombing. There are many Muslims who know who the bombers are, but brothers have to be shielded from the law.
We get darn tired of Muslims preaching about how peaceful Islam is while they protect and feed the murderers. If you're looking for respect don't tell us - - - show us.

Hello,
(ANS) The answer is that you (we) have to make a VERY precise and VERY clear distinction between Islam the peaceful religion practiced by millions of followers worldwide. And a perverted twisted ideology of a large minority, which in truth is just a form of extremism, the so called Jihadists or ultra extreme followers of political Islam.
NOTE:
Its vital NOT TOO end up confusing real moderate Islam with political Islam these are definitely NOT the same thing at all.
**Real Islam is a path of peace, compassion and tolerance and giving. Real moderate Islam deplores any human beings death, Islam is against acts of terrorism, against killing others.
**The highly extreme ideology followed by Al Quaida, by the Taliban, & by Mr. Amadhinajad in Iran are nothing more than cults of Nihilism. Its clear that these people are prepared to kill anyone irrespective of religious reliefs anywhere any time. They will happily kill or murder fellow moderate Muslims as well in their utter desperation to enforce their madness on the rest of civilization. These people are no better than Nazi's as far as I can see. They deserve the same contempt too.

Where have you been the last few years? There have been several terrorist attacks carried out recently by Muslim extremists, notably on September 11th 2001 and July 7th 2005, as well as the attacks in Spain and Indonesia and elsewhere. Islam *is* connected to terrorism - unpalatable fact perhaps - and it is up to Muslims to do something about it.

It is not a question of SHOULD terrorism be associated with Islam. The de facto association of terrorism with Islam is unquestionably justified. The violent, religious fanatics of Islam promote and verify the association.
Many many religious experts denounce Islam's imperfections.
We believe that God did not make Mohammed His prophet and that Mohammed and the Koran misleads and misinforms too many children of God.
Islam is not the way to God.

one bad apple with a worm in it ruins the whole tree. here in America we have block heads. and its hard to think for our self so we believe in what we are told or what we see on TV. otherwise every black man in America couldn't be a rapist, murderer, and thief. Our government don't want the world to believe Islam is a religion of peace. just like they don't want the world to believe a black man can be smart (more than 1). cause this would change the nature flow of living for a lot of people. your culture has been labeled thinks to Osama and Bush. who has close business ties to Osama's family. "o yea" can't forget the news. for years to come when an American think Islam or Muslim. we are going to think of terror. and for the people in the middle-east vice-versa. when we really are not allowed to get to know each other..its something that American Muslims will have to deal with and learn to overcome. good luck!!!!

Noreligion is perfect - all have been "adapted" and "corrupted" by Man since their inceptions - I`d say the LEAST perfect would be Islam since IT refuses to leave the Dark Ages in which it was created. For a "perfect" and peaceful religion it had a VERY bloody inception my friend and STILL preaches the annihilation of Judaism.
A perfect reigion would be one which is prepared to prosper ALONGSIDE another - Islam is NOT.
