I can call them right, and I do sometimes, but is it so much to ask for them to just do what they say they will. I don't tell them they have to call me. I don't even know why they say they will, and why they don't just do it.

Guys don't call when they say they will because they:
1. lie
2. aren't serious about you to begin with
3. meet and/or go with somewhere else
3. chicken out
4. over-think the situation, and THEN chicken out
5. are sincere but had a legitimate reason
-- family emergency
-- ruptured appendix
-- ex-girlfriend or wife called
-- went back to therapy
Should you call them? It all depends but, generally speaking, no, you shouldn't call. Some things we have to do and that's one of them.
Say what you want about modern times and all but when it comes to heterosexual relationships, some things a guy really does have to do (call) and some things a woman simply has to do (let him call). Does it mean you wait around? Sure, maybe 48 hours (someone else can chime in here). MAYBE. After that, move on.

No guy has ever called me in my view gruesome, yet i became with my perfect pal whilst some fool advised her she became. if someone says they will call but dont, it means they are nice enough not to say they dont like you to your face, because they figure you will figure it out when they dont call, and then they dont have to be near you when you figure it out.
