It started suddenly about two months ago. When I tried to stand up. I am off balance and look like I am staggering (drunk) until I get steady.

Sometimes have pain in my joints, hands, bones, and even my nerves. I went to the chiropractor. He x-rayed my lower back because my disks are discinigating and found something odd in the fleshy part near my hip joints. He didn't know what it was. I took the x-rays to the doctor. He got me an appointment with a rehumitoid doctor for August 9. But my insurance company wouldn't approve the MRI to find out what the mass in my butt is (don't laugh).

In the meantime, I am in pain from my neck to my hands and feet. It could be arthritus, carpul tunnel, osterprosis, or a zillion other things. Any ideas or experience with this? I came on all of the sudden. I am 60 years old.

I have severe degenerative arthritis, I've had surgery twelve times in four years now, I canceled two surgeries due to just getting tired of it.
I have the same trouble. I can't walk a straight line, it happen real fast. I have had surgery on my lower spine four times, it's a mess of degenerated vertebrae and disc's, bone and tissue.

I would guess the ganglion nerves to your legs (Sciatic nerves) are to blame, the mass could be anything, probably irritating them.
The doctor will push the insurance company to have the MRI's if he thinks they're necessary, or he'll take CAT's they can even go by the X-Rays if necessary, they most likely will have to do surgery.

Your legs, could be the nerves from your back, they're the ones that are doing all the pain.

All you can do is hope the doctor can push the insurance through.

If you have insurance and I hope you do...Bless your heart! Please start with your PCP and let him direct you in the right direction. Xrays, MRI, blood work and etc. I believe in Chiropractors! Maybe it is your spine that is out of line? I believe something is outta position, but I'm guessing, what do I know, not a Doctor of any sort. You're 18 yrs., drug by a car at 3 yrs. old..you have a FULL life ahead of you...My God, NO one should have to live like this....Good Luck Sweetheart. Please keep us updated.

Could be degenerative disk disease and you need an MRI for diagnosis. Appeal your insurance company decision. Once you go to the specialist he/she should be able to help you appeal. BTW a chiropractor shouldn't be relied upon for diagnosis.

I have DDD and osteoporosis. Mainly from having a slight frame and being female.

first i would stop going to a chiropractor. they are not doctors. it takes 2 years to become one. any idiot can be a chiropractor. they do more harm than good. i would go to the hospital and get checked out. they might do it through charity if your insurance wont help. good luck
