good question. maybe it's because they are drawn to what we have in Christ like a moth to a flame, though they will never ever admit it.

I don't like being preached to but I do like to listen in on comments that people will make about religion. And considering the fact that I was a "born-again" Christian for the the first 17 years of my life I do think I have experiences that are worthy to share.

Whats great about this place is the free-exchange of ideas. The important thing to remember is that when you place your ideas out there, don't be surprised when people criticize them or shoot them down. Hopefully, we're all here to learn from other people, and learn from all of the different perspectives out there.

So yes, I do not appreciate the preaching aspect of it as much, but I do enjoy stating my opinion on certain issues that have been raised in this section.

Have a Great Day!

i've got self assurance which you're appropriate that this type is for debating the precis theory of theory and not fact. regardless of if it extremely is theory or loss of theory it extremely is consistently debate-able. I have not got any difficulty with such "assaults" except they are from trolls or violate the regulations. no you may impose his or her ideals on others. It would not artwork and it extremely is silly interior the top. There are extra suited procedures to enhance faith than shoving it down the throats of unwilling listeners. I even have self assurance that the government isn't in charge for maintaing Christian ideals or the different ideals. there's no longer genuine reason to prohibit gay marriage, legally. It has become a "ethical" or non secular difficulty. i in my view have self assurance that the government could stay out of all of our lives as much as attainable. confident, i'm a Christian. Did I stay to tell the tale subject rely? i attempted. De Rerum Natura: i could no longer agree extra. If a individual can not even attempt to hold is or her very own against the ideals of yet another they could question their reasoning. i do no longer ideas if Atheists criticize my faith or question me. A walk by making use of religion: Why is this a rant? purely considering you do no longer like it would not immediately recommend that it extremely is a rant.

Because there are some interesting questions in this section from people where were raised fundamentalistic Christian, or fundamentalist Muslim and really wish to chuck all that crap, and lean to think rationally, and with proof, but just don't know how. So there are those of us who have already made that journey, and make suggestions for them to read.

The bible is just another holy book, fairy tales and folk lore of a stone age groups of starving shephards.... but many people don't know where else to look for a life purpose.... those of us who write in here show them how the journey out of silly religion is done.............

I don't want it preached to me when I don't ask for it; if I come here to read about people and their beliefs, of course I accept that involves religion.

1. Where is the Atheist section?
2. When will religions stop killing my friends and relatives, taking my tax dollars, and trying to control the society I have to live in? Then I won't care what hogwash you believe.

hmmm
maybe because instead of preaching on an answer question site ...
you should be asking and answering questions

Because this isn't the " freaks only" section.

Anyone can come in this section to talk about religion or spirituality.

So the religious folks can reap what they sow. They're always trying to shove their beliefs on people. Now the people are shoving back and they don't like it. Too bad.
