Nice question, John, and I don't give a hoot how you spell, who said what was 'right' anyway, we all understood what you meant, which is the point, after all. :-)))

Here's my take on this, we can't gain 'intelligence', the human brain/mind complex is a matrix of various factors, at the low end it's a remarkable super-computer, capable of making 'leaps of logic' that we have so far been untterly unable to replicate in AI ( artificial intelligence ). At the high end each and every one of us is equipped with an infinite capacity quantum computer, that is further enhanced to a factor of a zillion-fold by the fact that we are 'net-worked' in a way that allows all the 'data' that ever was/is/will be to be factored into any decision, if we choose to open that 'channel'

The lust for power, from a being so inherently powerful can only derive from a defective perception. That somehow one of us may be 'missing' something, 'lacking' something, 'need'ing something, that we haven't already got.

This misconception ( pun fully intended hehehehe ) can only lead to fear, and as we all know, fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to the 'Dark Side'.

The answer to your question from this area of the Cosmic Cluster is simple, abolish fear, and there will be no need for 'power' only the real-isation that we all have exactly the same amount intrinsic to our designed, energetic structure.

Why shouldn't we mind your spelling ? Your capitalization isn't any too hot either.
Correct spelling and grammar are an indication of the questioners age and intelligence. Poor spelling and grammar make it appear that the questioner is either a kid or a dope. Fewer mature people will answer.
Now to answer your question. We can't gain intelligence. That's something that you either have or don't have. We can gain knowledge. There is no evidence that most or all intelligent or knowledgeable people have any great desire for power. In some countries, it appears that the leaders are chosen for their stupidity.

Given what I've seen of our president, intelligence and a lust for power have nothing to do with each other.

ok well intelligence can be gained without lust for power if a person stays true to themselves and knowledge itself.

The idea that intelligence has anything to do with lusting for power is perpetuated by powerful people who think you're stupid and worry you are not.

confident it extremely is attainable yet for that to take place the flexibility has to become meaningless and be overridden by making use of a concentration on different capacities and targets. As we enhance from being a new child to jogging we earnings ability over our actual being. ability is purely a potential to a added purpose of mobility. we are actually not inevitably corrupted. evaluate that a dad and mom have won ability over their babies and that they do no longer seem to be constantly corrupted. i think of that it is via the fact it extremely is overshadowed by making use of affection, compassion, and a desire to apply ability to realize different targets and not a purpose in itself. interior the worldwide at super ability is frequently sought as a manner around lack of self assurance, doubt, worry and so is a purpose which may be maintained in any respect costs. some Roman generals may lead campaigns and then flow back to their villas to be farmers. the flexibility did no longer corrupt. yet attempting to maintain ability for its very own sake previous an evident want is extra of a difficulty. it is an understood crucial. Even in our very own government it extremely is expected that in the process situations of conflict ability will tournament the want and become extra centralized. regrettably there additionally are some who could desire to desire to exploit this and create a conflict to centralize and earnings extra ability. Then it extremely is extremely corrupting.

I don't think intelligent people lust for power if they are truly intelligent.
