I know this is not true of all Christians, or even the majority, but some definitely think that the Jews are evil because they were responsible for Jesus' death. I know a couple of people personally, plus I've read comments on here and other forums..

But I don't understand, wasn't the whole point for him to die as the sacrificial lamb? I just don't understand the logic.

(of course, I also don't think it makes sense to blame anyone today for what happened two thousand years ago, but that's not exactly my point here)

I dunno about on Yahoo answers (I've definitely seen a lot of white guys pretending to be black and acting all ignorant), but the people I know in real life are definitely not Muslims. They hate Muslims more than they hate Jews. :( If Jesus hates anything, it's hate, I think.

It was our sin that killed Jesus. True Christians, who understand the Bible know this. Jesus whole reason for coming here was so that he could be crusified for our sins.

Jesus came as the Messiah the Jews were waiting for but they did not embrace him as the Messiah. Most Jews were against him. They were the ones in the crowd saying crucify him. The Sanhedrin (religious men) were saying that too. When given a choice to crucify Jesus or a murderer the crowd chose Jesus because they thought he was blaspheming by saying he was the son of God even though he proved by his miracles & healings and incredible knowledge of the scriptures and god. In essence the Jews wanted Jesus dead. In the old days lambs and other things were sacrificed to do away with sin on a daily basis. When Jesus was crucified - he was crucified as the ultimate lamb of God for our sins so that we don't have to go through the ritual of sacrifice any more. We can go straight to God through Jesus Christ. He made the way for us to have direct communication w/ God and directly ask for forgivness of sins. We are no longer under the jurisdiction of all the laws. Jews today are still waiting for the Messiah. I don't think Jews are evil. They are mislead and are blinded by the truth. Jesus death was inevitible to fulfill scripture and prophesy and the Jews were the catalist to that event.

You are right, it doesn't make sense to hate the Jews. We, as humans, were responsible for Christ's death, our sin. He died to redeem His people. And for the record, it was Jews and Gentiles who had a hand in His death, the Romans did the actual killing, so those so called "Christians" should hate Gentiles as well, which would be....themselves.

Jews didn't kill Jesus. Jesus said that He had the power to lay down His life and He had the power to take it back up. Read the Bible people. John 3:16 the most famous verse in all the Bible, "For God so loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son that whosoever believes on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life."

Folks - You can't kill God. A lot of heathens try, but you can't kill God.

beats me too. It was prophecy fulfilled and I don't now what they hope to achieve by hating our Jewish brothers ad sisters. Do they think they can revenge the death our Saviour? I hope that they will read their Bibles and ask the Spirit to give the understanding and wisdom to understand the will of God.
They should realize how blessed we as gentiles are, for if had not been for the Jews, we would not have had salvation. Jesus was, after all, a Jew.

No. a genuine Christian, one that professes that Jesus Christ is their Lord God and Saviour isn't allowed to hate everyone. the main suitable of the commandments Jesus taught us is interior the hot testomony and it particularly is is love thy neighbor as theyself. all the commandments carry on that one. Our "friends" are not merely different Christians yet all people on the earth in spite of race, gender, faith or something that makes us distinctive from one yet another. you're to love all of them. Even those people who do no longer seem to love you. inspite of each little thing, would not the Bible coach us to "love thy enemies" and pray for people who curse you and despitefully use you? It would not recommend you are able to desire to like what somebody does. undergo in innovations, you hate the sin, yet love the sinner. additionally, do no longer forget approximately the Jews have been God's chosen people. Jesus Christ himself became a Jew who did no longer got down to chanced on a sparkling faith yet to fulfil the regulation. the hot testomony teaches us "There are no Jew or Greek, Slave or loose, Male or female" in Christ Jesus. In a trend, Christianity at it particularly is purest became the international's first selection application. it particularly is too undesirable it particularly is gotten all muddled up with nonessentials and egos and whatnot. we could desire to return to fundamentals...and that consumer-friendly is Love as defined in one million Cor 13. examine this and you will see that hatred of persons, no count number how likely justifiable, has no place interior the life of a man or woman following the instructions of Jesus. in actuality, if one professes to be a holy and would not love, their holiness turns into meaningless.

I blame the Romans, since Jesus was Jewish it's pretty stupid to blame Jews.

I don't see the point in your question. If you have the understanding in why it hap pend, why don't you help your friends to understand. Some Christians don't know or are not even interested to understand their religion or religious history.
