The minute the silver cord is severed the body belonging to the person dies. However the soul does not and enters a spiritual body, to carry on its journey, the spiritual body is perfect. It has absolutely none of the defects it had in life, because pain has gone and the spirit body is identical
to the physical one.

I beleive that when a person or any living being dies, their spirit leaves their body as soon as it no longer need it, after all death is only death of the body, something which is only meant to last for so long, the spirit is eternal.

When you take your first breath at birth, your spirit enters. Like wise, when you take your last breath when you die your spirit leaves.
When a person takes the last breath the soul departs from the body.
At funerals when the people bury their dead, they are only burying the (body) room that housed the soul that departed from it. The humor is that when the grievers are standing around the grave site mourning there's also dead souls standing and observing observing.
It's unique to watch because the people are unaware.

When we die, we will be in either Hades or Paradise until the Judgement day. It depends whether you were born again or not as to where you will be. O course, babies and children are innocent. Then you will be judged and either go into Heaven or hell. This is true for all people, whether they believe it or not and no one can do anything to change it. But you CAN do something about which place you will end up at. As to how long it takes, I don't think anyone really knows, But I think its almost instant.

If there is no time in Eternity then looking at life with an eternal perspective we would have to come to the conclusion that we all die at the same moment. Therefore at your time of death, you immediately stand before God along with everyone else. Our finite minds might find this a little hard to grasp.

The spirit passes over immediately at death, that's what I believe. They don't hang around. That's only the devil playing with your head.

Absent from the body, present with God

2 Corinthians 5:6-8
6 Being therefore always of good courage, and knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord
7 (for we walk by faith, not by sight);
8 we are of good courage, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.

Goodness you people make me so mad. Jesus did not die on the cross so that people could DENIE him. You all who believe thier is no God are foolish. I pray God will have mercy on the confused.
