I really don't know what is going on with all this talk of having one's 'membranes stripped' and 'losing the mucous plug' ... I'm older (all my children are grown and having kids of their own now) and I didn't have to undergo any 'membrane stripping' or worry about any 'mucous plug' coming out ... but what is 'happening' is your body is 'getting ready to go into labor' ... so pack your 'baby bag' and set it by the door you'll be going out to get into the car ... you'll have your baby soon ... within the next two weeks, and probably even sooner since your 'show' was 'blood stained' ... and if you feel as if you 'peed your pants' but you didn't feel the 'pee coming out' of it's usual spot, the GO TO THE HOSPITAL ... your 'water' will have broken, and that baby is 'on the way' (and may need to be 'protected' from infection, which is the 'water bags' purpose, so when it 'breaks' you do need to be in the hospital. CONGRATULATIONS, MOM! Have a happy new baby!

That sounds like your mucus plug to me try drinking water and lye down on your side if this changes those cramps you may have a while to go. Make sure you monitor the time. Also my nurse told me to feel the tip of my nose and feel my stomach when I think I am having a contraction. If my stomach is harder then the tip of my nose that is a Strong contraction and they should be consistent in time. BUT CALL YOUR DOCTOR Good Luck

More than likely it was your plug. After having your membranes stripped, its also possible to bleed some. Usually you will deliver within the next week after losing it. Heres a great site for you.

This is curently my fav. site. Click on third trimester or labor and they have a Q/A with all kinds of advice and support from experienced mommies.

Sounds like your mucous plug for sure. Call your doctor to make sure, we're not doctors on here even though we have the best of intentions.

Sound like the early stages of labor. Call your doctor. Let him know what is going on. You may need to see him about this. Good Luck.
