Don't get me wrong, I'm no criminal. The last cop I talked to was during traffic ed in elementary school. I just wanted to point out the conflict of interests in this profession.

Well the law breakers are the ones who guarantee we have a job, and if by hurt you mean arrest them, then yes I guess we do.

However it does not matter how many times we arrest them, they just keep coming back for more. Ask any Officer out there. Most of our criminals we arrest are people we deal with on a daily basis. Very rarely does a new criminal appear.

Last time I checked, no "people" guaranteed my job. I guarantee it by showing up, answering calls, and enforcing laws. If you're one of those folks that wants to blame the cops for your run ins with the law, tough cookies. You don't want to get arrested? Well, stop breaking the law or stop getting caught.

Man, your English teacher must have cried when she saw your papers. We do not "hurt the people who guarantee you have a job", we arrest the law breakers. This is why we exist, to enforce the laws. If you have a problem with that, stop beaking the law.

There is no conflict. Officers enforce the law as it is written.

So long as there is crime, there will be police officers. All I have to say is thanks to all the law breakers that read this for job security. For every one that we "hurt" think of the countless numbers we help.

You mean criminals?

Sometimes they resist, the law gives us the right to use necessary force to overcome resistance.
