Sure. Watches are a matter of style and fashion as well as function these days.

I know some nurses who like a larger watch to use when taking somebody's pulse.

For most people, watches are a fashion item. If it strikes your fancy, wear it. If it goes with what you want to wear, even better. You may want to have different styles or colors of the same design. Great ! Go for it. It is a matter of your personal style.

I've worn "men's" watches nearly all my life because usually the "Ladies" watches are so darned hard to READ! I usually choose the smaller ones (which are LARGE by the Ladies standards) and I prefer the ones with the calendar in it... good old analog and calendar!

More important than the watch itself is the watchband. Some of the men's bands can be rather grotesque, which can clash badly with any "feminine" wear. You can find a good "middle ground" band which will be just right for most "daily" wear.... or find a separate watch and band for your fancier evenings out.

Who cares? Wear whatever watch you like. I only wear watches that have all 12 numbers, it's a thing of mine. If you like men's watches wear one.

As long as it does not appear to be too big for her wrist then why not? I'd worry if she wants to wear man's underwear though!
