I would like to know the documents required to go US from India

You will need a current passport and a valid US visa in order to be allowed to board a plane to the US. At the US port of entry, your documents will be examined and you will be asked a few questions to verify your non-immigrant intentions.

In order to receive the visa, you must apply at the nearest US foreign mission. First you pay a non refundable application fee, then schedule an interview and fill out the DS-156 (and other forms, if warranted) on-line, print them and bring them with you to the interview. When you arrive at the interview, you will need also need your photographs, and any additional documentation that supports your intentions. 2. Land Titles
3. Bankbooks
4. Car registration
5. Birth certificate
6. Passport

You either go directly to the US Consulate( or contact them), or if you get your flight ticket in a travel agency, they can apply for you. But they will not tell you about the rules and regulations, so you might want to check the consulates website. Or call them ,if you have questions. my travel agency would always get my visa for me, untill one day, i was in an airport in the US, and they would'nt let me fly out, cause my daughter has both german and american citicenship, telling me they needed a letter from the dad.( Don't get that anyways. Could of wrote that letter myself). Even if it was clear that we had came from Germany 2 weeks ago, cause we lived there.
