B.F. Skinner, a psychologist, went a long way toward answering that question back in the 30's with his infamous "baby boxes".
Built to his specifications they were technological marvels for their day. They took care of the baby's needs without human intervention or participation.
He raised his own 2 sons through infancy inside "baby boxes".
How did they turn out. One committed suicide before he turned 21. The other was in and out of mental hospitals and jail cells most of his life.
Not the most sterling of approbations for the idea of love being unnecessary to humans.
Today there are even more pitiable examples. The Romanian orphans of the 90's. The Chinese baby girls of right now. None of these children experienced love in infancy. Almost all of them are permanently psychologically scarred by its lack.
Remember that in ALL these examples, their basic physical needs were being met. They had food, warmth, shelter, drink, clothes and where possible, medical attention. The biological situation seems to have little or no effect on human psychological development when compared to the presence or absence of the security of feeling and being loved.
Hope this helped.

Captain Kirk used to try this on the top of each action picture star Trek episode: teach the extraterrestrial beings how loving and worrying individuals are (oops sorry - human beings) even with the actuality we drop napalm on young ones and burn their epidermis off to the element of boiling them alive. The human who speaks out for the human race needs to tell apart between stable and undesirable traits and placed a case as to why we ought to continuously stay. does not be that no longer elementary thinking those to blame for each and all of the undesirable issues are a tiny minority of civilians and a handful of international leaders If all and sundry (alien or no longer) desperate to push a button that ought to extinguish 6 billion human beings does not that e the appropriate evil so it would be a sprint hypocritical and counter effective to sentence the human race in this variety of vogue that condemns people who carry out the extermination. What stable might it incredibly is doing? A Republican Alien might try this (get rid of an entire race for skill) yet a Democrat Alien might go with a happier, different planet utilizing preparation and rehabilitation

I do not believe humanity could survive without love because if not for love people wouldn't bother taking care of the babies.

Unconditonal love is what God and Jesus gave us. Love is what everyone needs. Without love, some persons are misserable, they feel left out and unwanted. But when we look at the love of God, the true love that He has for us, then we can show others this special love so that people can be at peace. Jesus said "love your enemy", you say why? This is because they do not "know what they are doing". If someone hates you, it is because they are jealous of you or do not like to see you happy nor see you be doing good. So since they do not care and do not understand, then all we have to do is love them. You do not go run to them and say I love you but you do not curse them or talk bad about them because this will make things worse. I know I do it, and it makes a big difference. Love make the world go round.

Yes, because all they have to do is reproduce to survive. You can have a sex drive and not fall in love. Humanity probably wouldn't be as happy without love, though, if that's what you mean.

God Loves His Creation and says:
My Mercy Overtook My Wrath.
Thereby the human world is sustaining inspite of the wrongdoings, injustice, oppression and bloodshed going on these days.
When things go beyond the limits set by God, Liege Lord Jesus Christ peace be on him shall descend to enforce justice and that will be the end of the world too.

If you mean the false assumption that some mythical being loves us, that's a tough one. Sadly, many people would have some sort of a nervous breakdown. I think eventually most could over come it however. If you mean love in generally, I would think not, love from a real person is one of the most wonderful parts of being alive.

Would we want to? I don't think I would.... "Love" is a natural state for us, really, there have been studies done, where they studied the health of babies that were cuddled, and talked to, and otherwise emotionally "nourished", and compared them to a group of babies that only had thier most basic needs taken care of, without the emotional nurtering, the babies that weren't nourished emotionally failed to thrive, they lost weight, motivation, became apathetic, so my answer is no, we wouldn't survive without love.....

First, define love - are you talking affection between parents and offspring, or romantic love? If the former, probably not, as those little criters can't do much on their own. If the latter, yes, all that is required for procreation is sex.
