car oil should be recycled. cooking oil is vegetable base and breaks down. you can compost it.

Used motor oil can be brought to a recycling center or any auto body shop. Some municipalities will allow you to place it at curbside for pickup, along with regular recycling. To transport your motor oil, most recyclers recommend decanting into in clean, plastic milk jugs that have been capped.
As far as cooking oil, you probably already know that it should never be disposed of down the drain. Most trash collection companies will tell you that the best way to dispose of used cooking oil is to seal it in a container, and throw it out with the trash. In our community, we however, we do have one recycling center that will accept it.
For myself, we use so little cooking oil, that I just dispose of it in an unused corner of the yard where nothing grows anyway.

Cooking oil? Fill the pan with hot water pour it down the sink, like 99.999% of everyone else.
Car oil? Again, are you serious? Spend the $15.99 to get your oil changed at the service station - - - it pays for itself - the oil itself is half that, and every five times you change the oil yourself you get some on your jeans, that costs more than the $35 you saved not taking the car to the station. Service stations are actually highly regulated, they'll dispose of the oil pursuant to state law, don't worry, they're not going to risk losing the inspection license.

Cooking oil should be poured into a container and thrown out with your garbage.
Motor oil can be recycled at many drop-off centers; just check around in your city.

I've always used very little or no oil, bu I know that it can be either refined and reused, or used as bio fuel. There are companies who collect used oil for that purpose, but they work on local level.

U don't waste both the cooking and engine oils. They can be
again used for biodiesel. Now people are looking for both the products to manufacture biodiesel. If you can collect them in bulk it can be sold to the wholesale purchasers.

This may sound dangerous, but I know that for a gas stain on asphalt, you can light a match, and ignite the oil or gas. This burns the stain right off the asphalt, and leaves no stain.

accept used oil for recycling.

In Washington state take mine to an auto parts store they don't charge and recycle it.
