There are some men whose Christianity has such simplicity and sincerity and wholesomeness that instinctively we say, "There, that's the kind of a Christian I want to be." How about you? what do you think?

I agree. That is the way all Christians should live. Unfortunately, many Christians get mixed up in the wrong places and the wrong crowds. I want people to view my life and be able to determine, without me saying anything, that I am a Christian and that Christ is working in my life.

Many people view Christianity as a religion of rules and no fun. However, Christianity allows for so much freedom and expression when you have faith and have the hope that Christ affords us. Great question; thank you for sharing.

Peace,
I wish there were more sincere Christians like you describe. I'm an American Muslim and a religious studies major.... and i think if the US truly were a Chrisitian country and Christianity were practiced as its written this would be a much better place to live. I don't think a Christian has anything for fear from a true Muslim or a true Muslim country.... nor a Muslim from a true Christian or a true Christian country..... however, there are so many people masquerading around with these titles.

I think a Christian life lived by the bible and by Jesus's (peace be upon him) teachings.... is a normal, wholesome life.

Peace and Blessings,
Sakina

My dear Grandfather was such a man.he helped found a church .he gave away much of his crops at the time of the great depression.not selling his crops.even though he had seven children.at Christmas time many anonymous ,usually homemade gifts were laid at his front door. Inman S.C. he was a great Christian as all my people are.I try to emulate him. he told me how his son died. and he had prayed for God to take him instead .but his son died. and he said he wondered why God didn't hear him. that in all his life all he had ever done wrong was when he borrowed a plow and a bolt broke and he put back a used bolt not a new one.i picked up a wallet at the water company.laying on the counter. and i had twenty dollars to my name .and a roof to fix. it was leaking in. and their was like six or seven hundred dollars in it.and i thought of taking it.no one would have seen me.take the money from the women's wallet.but i couldn't. i knew my grandfather wouldn't have.nor any of my people.i praise God that i had family that were true Christians.many people claim to be Christians .But all that call upon the name of the lord will not be saved. only those who do my Fathers will. will make it to heaven said Jesus Christ our savior.
Peace

I could not care less about 'wholesome'. What is that anyway? Another way for a Christian to look down their noses at others!

Simplicity and sincerity are good for humans not just religious humans.

The mark of a true Christian is love for others and obedience to God’s Word (1 John 2:4; 1 John 2:10).

Yes. I think that life is much easier and simpler with God. If we truly seek Him. Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive. In the deception of the world lies all the problems.

That is kind of where I want to be. Just love Him and be loved by Him. Being a Christian really isn't as complicated as some would have you believe

It depends on who you ask. Ted Haggard who is devoutly Christian and married to a woman had anal on massage tables with male prostitutes so I don't find that too all that wholesome. LOL!
