I would like the names of Dead or Alive soldiers. I tried wikpedia and all I got were the names from the movie. Is there an archive somewhere with these names?

Give the post museum here at ft campbell a call. 3/187 INF, 101st was the unit portrayed in the movie and is still stationed here at ft campbell. They may have some sort of roster, although you're talking a very large list since there were several battalions at the actual fight.

I did a report on that battle for an NCO course that I had to take and got some really indepth real-life info on it from just doing a really intense google search. It's there, you just have to look hard.

You can try the 101st Airborne Division Association.

I know the WK&T Chapter here in Clarksville has a bunch of members who fought in that battle.

The military advisor to the movie lives here also and is in the Association.
